See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Attractive country pub close to the River Bain and dating from 1610. World War II airmen used to slot coins into the ceiling beams to pay for beer when they returned from missions over Germany. some many these coins are still in situ and make a unique memorial. The popular restaurant offers good food made with local produce (booking advised). There is a convenient caravan site within a mile of the pub. Folk Club on 3rd Monday evenings. Book Club meet on 2nd Monday. One guest beer in Winter, often two in Summer.
