Fenman's trip to Beeston - June 2023

As a Father's Day treat, Fenman was escorted by his two sons and visited various pubs in Beeston, Notts. After studying form from Whatpub and drawing up a list, the three travelled by tram and arrived at their first hostelry, the Star Inn.

According to Whatpub we could expect 9 cask ales and we were not disappointed. Beers from Anarchy, Full Circle, Little Critters, Lenton Lane, Bang the Elephant and Brass Castle were on. The large beer garden was a delight in the summer sun.

On then to The Crown - jackpot ! There was a beer festival on that weekend where Shiny along with Oakham, Brewsters and Dancing Duck were available plus an outside bar with a range of Full Circle.

Crown Beeston

The next port of call had to be the Victoria, of course, where Castle Rock, Black Iris and Ossett were just a few of the ales available.

Beers at the Vic

There was just time to call into The Malt Shovel to sample Titanic and Wadworth beers before the tram beckoned for the return journey.
