Fenland CAMRA held its 2026 Good Beer Guide  launch at the Royal Oak, Mareham le Fen in early October. Fenland members were given a warm welcome by manager Nicola Ravenscroft who has managed the pub for the last 6 years. Pints of Batemans XB, Gold and 5G were dispensed to the thirsty travellers and the ales were found to be in excellent condition.

A little later, in the afternoon, Social Secretary, John Hunt, gave a short address at the bar to announce that the Royal Oak had been selected by the Branch to be in the 2026 Good Beer Guide and congratulated Nicola on the quality of the beers and of the pub in general. Photos were then taken at the bar and also outside on the pub frontage. Many thanks to Nicola and staff for an excellent afternoon out, all round.
