The Bell Inn at Halton Holegate was presented with their award for Village Pub of the Season, Winter 2025/26, by Fenland Branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale). 

Their certificate was presented to landlord Michael Hicken by Malcolm Phillips, Chairman of Fenland Branch and the award was applauded by local customers of the pub and Fenland CAMRA members. Michael and Rebecca Apps have run the Bell Inn for over 18 years and during that time have served countless different real ales in excellent condition. The range of beers often include those from local breweries such as Horncastle, Batemans and 8 Sail of Heckington. The Bell Inn has been in many editions of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide, and it is good to see this rural pub able to serve the community when so many pubs, especially country ones, are struggling.
