April 2013 - Sleaford Beer Festival

The Rotary Club of Sleaford Kesteven held its 9th Sleaford beer festival (often referred to as its St Georges BF) at Saint Denys' Churchrooms, during the last week-end in April.

22 cask ales were on sale, along with 4 ciders and perrys. The beers, all handpumped, included many from Lincolnshire breweries and ranged from pales ales, blondes, bitters and a stout. According to the beer aficionados all ales were in excellent condition.

Fenland CAMRA members were in attendance, as usual trying to sample all on offer, and posters displayed and membership application forms were available.

George Batterbee, of Poachers brewery, supplied most of the casks and the handpumps etc. and Sleaford Kesteven Rotary wish to thank George and also the many local sponsors of the beers. As usual the profits from the beer festival go to charities.
